This portion of the W3Mall provides information about the military in general and the war against terrorism in particular.

The terrorist wrecked havoc on this country on 9/11/2001 and one more time, the American homeland is at war. Times are difficult for many people, but we will survive.

During World War II, the homeland was also at war. Foolish people in other countries thought that we did not have the will and the tenacity to go to war. I was born during that war. My grandmother gave me a very patriotic nickname then - Jeep. It is my understanding that a common phrase in the military was:

Praise God and pass the ammunition!

We supported England during World War II. England, in particular, has been very supportive of us during this war.

However, the American people must never forget the hardship and sacrifice born by the many groups and peoples in Afghanistan. Many brave people have played a significant role while working with the United States, the U.N. and many other countries to route out the evil terrorists from the soil of Afghanistan. The peoples of America and Afghanistan are truly brothers and sisters bearing arms!

And so, my good friends we must say one more time:

Praise God and pass the ammunition!

Sincerely,
Jeep

The Special Forces Search Engine is next!

To honor the veterans of World War II and the current wars, various web sites which chronicle the great wars of the last two centuries are listed next.

The National D-Day Museum link is next. This museum also has information about the war in the Pacific!

National D-Day Museum

The next site relates the oral history of soldiers from World War I through the first Persian Gulf War.

Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress

The next site lists facts, histories and maps of World War I, the Spanish Civil War and World War II by European historians.

Paths of Memory

The next site provides a history of World War II from a British perspective. Various American historians of World War II, with and without extensive military experience, have been critical of the British history and conduct of World War II. I would suggest that Stephen Ambrose considered their history "politically correct" and poorly researched! Having read many books and seen many documentaries, I would agree. So be warned.

World War II by BBC

The next site concerns albums and memorabilia of the Civil War in America. There are panoramas, virtual tours of battlefields, burial sites and historic markers. It is a sad note that more Americans were killed during this war than all of our other wars combined.
