The Wikipedia is a large encyclopedia that is maintained by volunteers and is free. An editing process insures that the articles are "top notch". Some of the articles are geared toward university students. For the English version, over 12,000 articles are in the works! The encyclopedia provides articles in languages other than English but the owner of this web site has not evaluated that aspect of the encyclopedia.
The NOAA Photo Library has a very large collection of pictures of natural phenomena collected over many decades. Young and old will be intrigued by these pictures!
